Magnificent ‘Madu Ganga’
A breezy boat ride on the Madu Ganga will not only take your breath away but will invigorate your senses and uplift your soul. The Madu River, situated in the Galle District is a fitting example of the intricate river channels which decorate our country’s south west coast. In the global context, the ecological importance of this site has garnered it the ‘Ramsar Wetland’ status in 2003 being the second largest wetland in Sri Lanka with a colossal 915 hectares with 23 islands inhabited by nearly 300 families. The Madu Ganga Sanctuary is now a Tourist Development Area and a Special Area Managed (SAM) by the Coast Conservation Department. Balapitiya is where the ‘Madu Ganga’ makes its home.

Signs he is interested in you
Dating can be confusing; it’s hard to know if that single guy from work is interested in you or if he’s just being polite. Is he really interested in getting to know you better, or is he bored and just passing the time?
When you first meet…
*He can’t keep his eyes off you
Men are visual creatures. When a man sees a woman he finds attractive, he’ll want to look at her again, and again, and again. If the new guy keeps throwing glances at you there’s a good chance he is seen something he likes. Watch where his eyes go. Is he checking out other women, or is his gaze constantly returning to you?

Heavenly High at Hanthana
The Hanthana Mountain range is a beautiful delightful set of hill tops which are stunning with lush panoramic views. Overlooking grassy plains and eucalyptus trees lining the estates, you will see friendly faces of the estate workers greeting you. Driving breezily along the well-paved road, you will meander on the first and second Circular Roads which lead up to the Hanthana Housing Scheme. Also, the Forest Reserve road where the Circuit Bungalow is located offers sightings of hedgehogs, mongoose, rabbit and occasional wild boar spottings. The best aspect about Hanthana and the housing scheme is that the residents live in harmony with the animals and the peaceful and serene environment is testament of that.

How to be a lady
It is likely that every girl hears “act like a lady” from their mother at some point in life. It involves a number of well thought-out mannerisms and actions that might not come naturally. A few simple steps can help anyone be a lady.
Step 1
Be polite. While traditional guidelines suggest that women should act as shrinking violets, being a lady does not necessarily mean being submissive. A lady, in all her wisdom, should keep a cool head under pressure and outwit her adversaries with meaningful, well chosen words.

How to look good in photos
Make sure you are reasonable in your expectations. Your goal should be to try project your best appearance, whatever that might be. If you think you can make a few tweaks to your behaviour prior to the camera’s click and come out looking like George Clooney, you’re headed for a little heartbreak.
That being said, here are some tips on how to look good in photos
Know your best smile
While almost every smile starts at the mouth, a genuine smile will cause a ripple across the face until the eyes convey our feelings to the lens. If you’re in a bad mood and have no reason to laugh or smile, when someone points a lens your way, your smile won’t resonate beyond your mouth. If other people in the picture are genuinely smiling, prepare for your frozen-faced grin to be immortalized.
