Galle Film Festival | Sri Lanka’s first international film festival
The Galle Film Festival is currently in planning stages and will be presented on 24 – 27 October 2008 by a team in Sri Lanka comprising Sri Lankan film producer, Damita Nikapota, Geoffrey Dobbs (founder of the Galle Literary Festival) and leading Sri Lankan film-maker Boodee Keerthisena as Festival Director. The festival patrons are Lester James and Sumitra Pieris, Ravindra Randeniya and Madame Governor Kumari Balasuriya and the event will be presented in conjunction with the National Film Corporation, Sri Lanka.
