Multiple health clinics at Sri Sumangala Central
The Colombo branch of the Old Pupils Association (OPA) of Sri Sumangala Central College, Hikkaduwa has organized several health clinics (eye, dental etc.) on December 8 morning at the college auditorium.
During the afternoon there will be a program of lectures on (A)H1N1, nutrition, socially communicable diseases (STD) and other health related issues conducted by doctors of the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital and lecturers of the Nurses' Training College, Galle. The program will be co-ordinated by Mahamodera hospital Director Nanda Waduge, an old boy of the College. The OPA (Colombo branch) will also award scholarships to students who were successful at the GCE (Advanced Level) examination and commission the audio system donated by them to the college auditorium. Participants at the event would include students, teachers and parents as well as invitees from neighbouring schools.
